Creating a New Brand: from Concept to Completion
The Lewisville Independent School District sought to rebrand to align with its new Strategic Design initiative. We worked as part of a committee of community representatives, district staff and students, and functioned as the graphic design arm of Maple Leaf Creative, to create a new logo and develop the district’s new brand.
The new logo needed to represent forward progress, collaboration and limitless ideas. Additionally, we wanted to incorporate movement and ensure the logo would resonate with audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
After researching existing school district iconography, sketching and idea development, three initial logo concepts were presented to the committee.

Concept 3 Revised (per client feedback)
As a result of the committee's review and revisions process, two concepts were finalized. In order to ensure all stakeholders felt a sense of ownership, the prospective logos were put to a vote among school district members and the local community.

Logo Option 1: Put to Vote

Logo Option 2: Put to Vote
Final Result: The logo chosen by vote was rolled out district-wide. We also developed brand standards and guide documents to support the district's rebranding efforts.
